Mildred Ann Pond

Mildred Pond, age 85, of Pine Knot, Kentucky, died Friday, May 10, 2019 at the Big South Fork Medical Center in Oneida, Tennessee.

She was born in Somerset, Kentucky on September 12, 1933 the daughter of Lovell and Lilly (Clontz) Taylor. Millie was a homemaker, enjoyed reading, playing, guitar, singing gospel music, and watching movies.

Her parents; husband, Don Pond; sons, Charles Steven Taylor and Lanny Dale Taylor; daughter, Debbie Stigall, brothers, Reed Taylor and Ray Taylor; and sisters, Jo, Glenda Hislope, Nell Fisher, Betty, and Christine precede her in death.

Survivors include her daughter, Beverly Gilreath of Pine Knot; 16 grandchildren; and numerous great and great great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, May 16, 2019 in the chapel of the Pine Knot Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Lower Cal Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11:00 am Thursday at the funeral home.
