Nevada Wilson Bowling

Nevada Wilson Bowling, age 91, of Pine Knot, Kentucky, passed from this life on Friday, March 13, 2015, at the Englewood Rehabilitation Center in Englewood, Florida.

She was born September 12, 1923, in Scott County, Tennessee, to the late John and Ada (Mays) Sauls.  Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband Richard Wilson, her second husband Roscoe Bowling, two sons Jimmy and Benny Wilson, a grandson; Derek Stephens, Durstle Jr., and Cathy three brothers; Ray Doc Sauls, Floyd Sauls and Virgil Sauls, and three sisters; Francis Hill, Elsie King and Eva Sauls, step children; Richard “Dick” Wilson, Harry Wilson, Frankie Nesbitt, Betty Lou Anderson, Grover Wilson, Rosellan Gilreath, Donald Ray Bowling, Attie Campbell, Deborah Ellenberger.

Surviving family include two sons; Costello Wilson (and Doris Ann) of Pine Knot, Bobby Wilson of Strunk, three daughters; Drucilla Voss (and Charlie) of Englewood, Florida, Goldie Stephens (and Joe) of London, Kentucky, and Pat King of Pine Knot, step daughter; Ardilla Faye (and Emery) Baird, Strunk, Orville Bowling (and Betty) of Dahlonega, Georgia, Roscoe Bowling, Jr. and (Linda) of Canton, Pennsylvania, and Billy Joe and (Sharon) Bowling of Winfield, Tennessee, Jewell Jones Bowling of Winfield, Tennessee, Kathy Meadows of Tennessee, daughters-in-law Margaret Bowling Maxey, Cora Wilson, Pauline "Tootsie" Wilson, Betty Wilson and Judy Wilson.

Nevada has 12 grandchildren, (three deceased) 21 great grandchildren (one deceased), seven great great-grandchildren (one not born yet). Roscoe had 8 children, 17 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 19 great great-  grandchildren.

Nevada was a member of the Pine Knot Church of God and was active in the McCreary Senior Citizens Center.  She had worked with the Senior Citizens Green Thumb program.  In her younger years she had worked at the Pine Knot Café and at Phillips Drive Inn. 

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 21, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Cyrus Byrd, Bro. Clay Cook, Bro. Randall Mays and  Ronnie Wilson officiating.  Burial will be at the Murray Wilson Cemetery.  Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until time for services.
