NOBEL C. KING

Noble C. King, age 85, passed away Saturday, October 16, 2010, at his home in St. Cloud, Florida.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 22, 2010, at 12:00 pm. In the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Wilson and Rev. Landon Sexton officiating. Burial will be at the Silerville Cemetery where military honors will be bestowed upon him by the Kinne Slaven Post 115 of the American Legion. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 a€" 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Born January 6, 1925, in Strunk, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Jasper and Emma Daugherty King. Also preceding him in death are a brother Hobert King, and four sisters Hazel Roberts, Georgia Anderson, Monnie Duncan and Augusta Duncan. Surviving family include his companion of many years Ramona Lashaw of St. Cloud, three sons; Dallas (and Kathy) King, Lowell David "Herbie" King of Livingston, Tennessee, Gary "Buck" King of Strunk. There are six daughters; Kathy King of Pine Knot, Debbie (and Johnny) Ridner of Pine Knot, Pandora "Tiny" Crabtree of Pine Knot, Alice Faye "Sis" (and Ted) Carson of Helenwood, Tennessee, Sara Boldus of St. Cloud, Florida and Becky Lashaw of Kissimmee, Florida. He has two brothers Darel (and Imogene) King of Whitley City and Walter (and Betty) King of Indiana, and two sisters Mabel West of Pine Knot and Mary Jo Wright of Cleveland, Ohio. He had 20 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and special nephews Tommy Roberts and Nobel Lee West.

Mr. King was a general laborer and a United States Army veteran. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He was a remarkable man, showing his love through silence.
