Parthene Worley

Mrs. Parthene Worley, age 71, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2006, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky.

Funeral services were held Sunday, March 12, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy King and Onel Dean Bryant officiating. She was laid to rest in the Taylor Ridge Cemetery in Whitley City, Kentucky.

Mrs. Worley was born in Marshes Siding, Kentucky, on March 22, 1934, the daughter of the late Henry Edgar and Nevada King Howard. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Jerry Hunley. Also two daughters Tabitha Hunley and Janice Hunley and a son Jamie Hunley precede her in death. Also deceased are a sister Josephine Bowman and two brothers Henry Howard, Jr. and Lloyd Gerald Howard.

Surviving family include four daughters Beverly Washam of Whitestown, Indiana, Rhonda Sanchez of Fontana, California, Dina Hunley of Rialto, California. And four sons, Charles Worley of Indianapolis, Gary Worley of Somerset, Kentucky, Jerry Randall Hunley of Sikeston, Missouri, and Barry Hunley of Brimfield, Indiana.

Mrs. Worley has three sisters, Earlene Loudermilk of Pine Knot, Kentucky, Madeline Herrera of Covina, California, and Rama Jean Bays of Bluffton, Indiana, a brother Morris Robert Howard of Blanchester, Ohio. There are 28 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

She had worked as a property manager for the French Canadian Club in Los Angeles, California, where she oversaw a private park. She did beautiful embroidery work, loved music and taking care of her family.

Pine Knot Funeral Home assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
