Patricia (Kennedy) Jones

Patricia Sue (Kennedy) Jones age 69 of Pine Knot, Kentucky passed from this life on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. 

She was born on July 24, 1952 in Somerset, Kentucky to the late Otis Kennedy and Beatrice (Helton) Kennedy. In addition to her parents, Patricia is preceded in death by her husband, Roy "Sug" Jones, sisters, Carol Proctor, Debra Conrad, Denise Bowman, and Brenda Kay Vanover. 

Surviving family include her sons, Scott Kennedy (and Diana) of Monticello and Chris Jones (and Terri) of Pine Knot; grandchildren, Scott Kennedy Jr.(and Tasha) and Trevor Kennedy; and great-grandchildren, Kyson Tyler and Kenleigh Grace.

Also surviving are Patricia's brothers, Michael Kennedy (and Janice), John Kennedy (and Alicia), Andy Kennedy (and Vickie) and Wayne Kennedy; and her sisters, Pam Garland, Janice Bell (and David Ball), Sharon Schoffner, Shelby Davis, Elaine Tucker, Becky Phillips (and Marty), and Rita Garner. 

Patricia was a member of the Cedar Grove Baptist Church. Prior to her illness, she enjoyed going fishing, playing bingo, and had worked many years at the shirt factory. Although Patricia had hobbies outside of the home, she loved nothing more than being a homemaker and caring for her family, especially her grandbabies and great-grandbabies. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. 

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home. Burial to follow in the Roberts Cemetery of the Slavans Community. The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday after 11:00 am until service time.
