Rev. Paul Hebrew Jackson, 90, of Oneida Tennessee passed away on Thursday September 26, 2013 at his home surrounded by family and friends. He was born in Jamestown, Tennessee on October 26, 1922. Paul was the eldest son of Theodor and Fannie Belle (Neal) Jackson. Paul is survived by his wife of 45 years, Patricia Carol (Garland) Jackson. Paul and Carol were married on April 20, 1968 and live in Oneida Tennessee. Other survivors include 7 children, Pamela Smithers, Paula Morrow, Paul Jackson Jr., and Jenny Posey, all of Huntsville Tennessee, Christopher Jackson of Oneida Tennessee, Anthony P. Jackson of Knoxville, Tennessee, Ashley (Jackson) Hamm of Somerset, Kentucky and 4 Sisters; Marietta Beatty and Nancy Jackson of Jamestown, Tennessee, Faye Dixon and Eola Owens of East Nolle, Georgia. Paul is also survived by 12 grand children, 22 great grand children, and countless friends. Preceding him in death are his parents, and younger brother, John D. Jackson of Oneida, Tennessee. Paul served our great nation during World War II in U.S. Battery B 20 Artillery Battalion reaching rank Private Fist Class. He was a proud father and loving husband, but above all he was a devout servant to the Lord. Paul was a member of Second Bethlehem Baptist Church in Winfield, Tennessee where he was a dedicated vessel for the Lord, touching lives for over 60 years. Paul never met a stranger and was always at home with anyone he met. He lived like he loved, with an open heart. Visitation for Paul will be held at 2nd Bethlehem Baptist Church in Winfield, Tennessee beginning at 5:00 pm on Saturday, September 28, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm also at 2nd Bethlehem Baptist Church on Sunday, September 29, 2013 with Rev. Jerry Massingale, Bro. Bert Burchfield, and Bro. Darren Duncan officiating. Paul will be interred in the Jackson Family Private Cemetery located in Skating Rink Hollow, Oneida, Tennessee with full Military Honors. Pine Knot Funeral Home is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
