Pauline Marie Cross

Mrs. Pauline Marie Sammons Cross, age 90 of Oneida, TN, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2017 at her home.  Born August 11, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Harvie Lonzo and Elizabeth Strunk Sammons.  Mrs. Cross worked many years as the Manager of the Oneida High School Cafeteria; and was a member of the Pine Grove Baptist Church, but attended the Oneida Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband:  Ronald Cross; brother:  James Sammons and wife Tava Anderson Sammons; and grandparents:  James and Eppie Strunk and John Sammons.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews:  Verna Adams of Hamilton, OH, Ronnie Sammons of Clayton, AL, Randy Sammons and wife Peggy of Cincinnati, OH, Patsy Creekmore and husband Lonnie of Pine Knot, KY, Jo Walker and husband Arnold of Independence, KY, Nancy Smith of Harrison, OH, Linda Hensley and husband Troy of Aurora, IN, Elois Seibert and husband Bill of North Bend, OH, Sharon Margeson and husband Brent of Liberty Township, OH, Jeffery Sammons and wife Kris of Cincinnati, OH, Teresa Bowling and husband Tony of Cincinnati, OH and Wanda Maddox and husband Curtis Wade of Sunman, IN; and many great nieces and nephews; many, many great-great nieces and nephews, other family members and friends. 

Friends may visit with the Cross family on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 from 12 p.m. until time of funeral service at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of the Jones & Son Funeral Home with John Polk officiating.

Burial will follow in the Hazel Valley Memorial Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be:  Randy Sammons, Arnold Walker, Troy Hensley, Logan Spivey, Noah Sammons and Hunter Sammons.
