Pearl Bell Bryant

Pearl Bell Bryant age 86 years, 6 months, and 15 days of Williamsburg, Kentucky, passed from this life on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at the Signature Health of McCreary County.

She was born on February 21, 1931, in Harlan, Kentucky, to the late Edd Durham and Gladys (Reynolds) Durham. Pearl was a member of the East Pine Knot Tabernacle Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed caring for her family. Pearl also enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, working puzzles, and collecting Bible verses.

Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, Claude Bryant, whom she married in 1948 in Harlan; sons, James E. Bryant, Hobert Bryant, and Claude Sargent Bryant; sisters, Bertha Estes and June Bryant; and a son-in-law, Raymond Meadows.

Survivors include her sons, Michael Bryant and wife, Alice, of Pine Knot, Kentucky, Dennis Bryant and wife, Sharlet, of Williamsburg, and Lawrence Bryant and wife, Shirley, also of Williamsburg; a daughter, Brenda Meadows of Goshen, Ohio; a sister, Louise Estes and husband, George, of Detroit, Michigan; grandchildren, Adam, Wayne, Daniel, Joshua, and David Bryant, Jim Meadows, Cindy Hatfield, and Crystal Stopher; and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the Pleasant Run Church with Bro. Johnny Perry and Rev. William Kilby officiating. Burial is to follow in the Bryant Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6:00 until 9:00 pm at the Pine Knot Funeral Home.
