Rachel Kennedy

Rachel Kennedy age 56 years, 1 month, and 13 days of Whitley City, Kentucky passed from this life on Monday, January 9, 2017 at her home.

She was born November 27, 1960 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Charles R. Haynes and Lula Belle (Wallace) Kennedy. Besides her parents, Rachel is preceded in death by a daughter, Amy Rose.

Surviving family include her husband, Gerald Wayne Kennedy of Whitley City, Kentucky; sons, Ronnie Kennedy (and Heidie) of Somerset, Brandon Kennedy (and Cassie) of Waynesburg, and Harley Holder of Whitley City; a granddaughter, Kalie Kennedy; and great-grandson, Aspen Brian Kennedy.

Rachel was a member of the Sloans Valley Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her church family, visiting friends, and loving her grandchildren. Rachel will be missed by many for the joy she brought to their lives.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2016 at 2:00 pm a the Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Lucas Phillips and Bro. Mike King officiating. The family will receive friends after 12:00 noon until service time.
