REGINA POWELL

Regina Powell, age 59, of Pine Knot, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2026, at the Continue Care Hospital Baptist Health in Corbin, Kentucky.

Born May 20, 1967, in Jamestown, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Martha (Phillips) Powell. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Sheila Stephens.

Surviving family include three children: Chris Posey of Oneida, Tennessee, Jerry “Tiny” Posey (Heather Wilson), and Tracey Pennington (Matt Phillips) of Somerset, Kentucky. There are six grandchildren: Patricia Fultz, Madison Strunk, Jaden Posey, Serenity Drinkard, Adrianna Stephens, and Dusina Wilson.

Regina has two surviving sisters: Sandra Perry and Lisa Powell both of Oneida and a brother Michael Phillips (Tammy) also of Oneida.  She also had a very special nephew Bobby Phillips (fiance Chasie Foster) of Oneida whom she raised as her own.

She had been a homemaker and attended the Harmony Fellowship Baptist Church in Somerset, Kentucky. She enjoyed camping and fishing, wrestling and watching T.V. but mostly spending time with family.

Funeral services will at 5:00 p.m., Monday, August 24, 2026, in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home followed by burial at the Jones Cemetery in Strunk, Kentucky. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until time for services at 5:00.

The family would appreciate any donations toward funeral expenses.
