REV. OSCAR L. MORGAN

February 24, 1910 — June 5, 2007

Reverend Oscar L. Morgan passed from this life on June 5, 2007, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital having attained the age of 97 years, 3 months and 10 days. He was born in Williamsburg, Kentucky on February 24, 1910, the son of Reverend Matt and Rachel Morgan, both deceased.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 73 years, Cevil Cornelius Morgan. From this union was born six children, Larry (and Toni) Morgan, Doris Morgan, Ralph Morgan, Clyde (and Pat) Morgan, Jim Morgan and Norma (and Harold) Smith, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. They had a happy marriage.

Preceding him in death were his brothers and sisters, Emma Angel, Nannie Angel, Mattie Baird, Nell Storck, Rose Baird, George and Andrew Morgan.

Rev. Morgan gave his life to the Lord when he was 22 years old, and began his ministry when he was 24 years old. He pastured several churches and went wherever anyone called. Totaling over 50 years in the ministry; including 27 years in the radio ministry. Known for his love of people, he continued to visit the sick as long as he was physically able. He will be sadly missed by family and friends. Our loss is heaven's gain.

Assisting the funeral will be Rev. Lanceford Lay and Rev. Landon Sexton.

Funeral services will be held at Pine Knot Funeral Home at 1p.m. Friday, June 8, 2007. Visitation will be at 4 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 2007, for the family and at 6 p.m. for friends at Pine Knot Funeral Home. Burial will be in the T. Chtiwood Cemetery at the East Pine Knot Tabernacle Church.

Croley Funeral Home of Williamsburg, Kentucky is in charge of arrangements.
