Rita Taylor Smith age 91 of Eaton, Ohio, (formerly of Stearns, Kentucky) went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 21, 2020.

She was born in Whitley County, Kentucky on August 14, 1929 to her parents Jasper Taylor and Ona (Golden) Taylor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hurstle I. Smith; 2 sisters; and 2 brothers.

Rita is survived by her 4 children, Donnie H. (Florence) Smith, Roger N. (Ann) Smith, Patricia Ann (John) Czeiszperger, and Robert H. (Pamela) Smith; brother, Larry Taylor; 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great children.

Rita enjoyed sewing, canning, and cooking especially when she was younger. She even won several blue ribbons for her quilts. She was a member of the Farmersville Eastern Star. She was a good Christian mother and above all loved her kids and grandkids. “It’s shoutin’ time in Heaven”

Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 22, 2021 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Smith officiating. Burial is to follow in the Pine Knot Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday after 10:00 am until service time at the funeral home. 

*Any and all attending are required to wear a mask, per the guidelines given by the CDC and requested by the family.*

Pine Knot Funeral Home is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
