ROGER HAL KING

Mr. Roger "Hal" King, age 72, peacefully passed from this life on Sunday, November 27, 2011 at his home in Strunk, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 30, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Sexton and Bro. Andy Jones officiating. Burial will be at the Duncan Cemetery in Strunk. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 a€" 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Hal had been a mechanic and was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church where he enjoyed attending. He was a nature lover and took pleasure in being outdoors and watching animals.

He was born May 26, 1939, the son of Herbert and Lucille Watters King. His father precedes him in death as well as a son Herbie Lee King, daughter Deborah Elaine King and second wife Evelyn.

He is survived by his beloved wife Roberta Jones King whom he married on May 7, 1994 at the New Hope Baptist Church where they met. His children are Kathy Yancy, Morristown, Indiana, Rita Crew (John) Lebanon, Ohio; Robin Gregory (Mike), Mounds, Oklahoma; Roger Hal King, Jr., Lackey, Kentucky; and Betti Perry (Kevin), Whitley City. His grandchildren are Stormi and Abby King, Cory Dionne, Mark Yancey, Elizabeth Jade Trammell, Chelsea and William King. He is also survived by his mother Lucille King and sister Dale Crabtree.
