Ronald Edward Hayes

Ronald E. Hayes, age 80, of Monticello, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2026 at his home.

He was born in Pleasant Run, Kentucky on April 20, 1946, to the late Chester and Edna Ross Hayes. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brother, Chester Hayes Jr.

Left to morn his passing is his daughter, Amy Hayes of North Carlise, Ohio; son, Chad Roberts Hayes of Springfield, Ohio; brother, Ray and wife Brenda Hayes of Pine Knot, Kentucky; sister, Audrey Johnson of Lafayette, TN.; grandchildren, Brittany Ison, Ashley St.Pierre, Jessie Bradley; great-grandchildren, Jace Idson, Lilith Ison, Alarie Wisecup, Alakai Springfield, along with numerous friends who will miss him greatly.

Ronald was a disabled US Army Veteran, he retired from General Motors in Dayton, Ohio. He enjoyed target practicing, riding 4-wheelers, side by sides and hanging with his friend’s enjoying life.

Per Ronald’s wishes, cremation was chosen, and a celebration of his life is being held at the Pine Knot Funeral Home on Monday, July 27, 2026, beginning at 1:00 PM, with Brother Cody Canada officiating. His ashes will be buried at a later date in the Corder Cemetery.
