Rubin Worley, Jr.

Rubin Worley Jr., age 67 years, 10 months and 3 days, passed away Monday, June 21, 2021, at his home in Stearns, Kentucky. He was born August 18, 1953, in Marshes Siding, Kentucky, to the late Rubin Worley, Sr. and Olivia Worley.  Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers: Darrell Worley, Robert Taylor, James Worley and Jerry Worley and sisters: Thelma Worley and Velma Jean Carter. Surviving family include his wife of 44 years, Janet Diane (Taylor) Worley, their children: Rubin G. Worley of Stearns, Jessica Diane Wilson (husband Nick) of  Strunk, Robert Clayton Worley (wife Amy) of Strunk, Kentucky, and Jennifer LeAnn Worley of Stearns.  There is one surviving sister: Georgia Ruth Worley of Wiborg, Kentucky. Rubin and Diane were blessed with 11 grandchildren:  Jake (fiancé Ashyn), Taylor (and husband Jesse), Zackary, Summer, Livy, Lily, Brandi, Kali, Aubree, Toni, and Ava. He also leaves behind numerous nephews and nieces he loved very much as well as a sister-in-law Debbie Taylor. Rubin was a retired truck driver of 50 years having traveled all across the country.  He last worked for McCreary Hardwoods.  Rubin liked guns and enjoyed shooting. He also liked racecars and going to dirt track races. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 25, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. David Dial and Bro. Rick Wilson officiating.  Burial will be at the Cooper Cemetery at Hilltop.  The family will receive friends on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until time for services. Pine Knot Funeral Home is assisting the family of Rubin Worley with funeral arrangements.
