Ruth Roselee Trammell

Ruth Roselee Trammell age 68 of Strunk, Kentucky passed from this life on Sunday, January 4, 2026 at the Signature Health Care of McCreary.

She was born on October 16, 1957 in Strunk, Kentucky to the late David Robert Trammell and Nellie Myers Carver. In addition to her parents, Ruth is preceded in death by her step-mother, Lois Ann Trammell; a sister, Becky Carver; and grandchildren, Ariana Bryant and Gage Bryant.

Surviving family include her sons, Zeshan Meer of Ohio, Omar Meer (and Stephanie) of Kentucky, Ameen Meer of Florida, and Michael Bryant of Michigan; a daughter, Samina Meer of Kentucky; and grandchildren, Ian Shepard, Deen Meer, Noelle Meer, Jonah Meer, Zane Meer, Sabriah Meer, Aleena Meer, Cassie Clark. Jonathan Meer, Erica Jones, Jordan Jones, Tadessa Jones, Samuel Jones, Gavin Murphy, Ashton Walters, Keaton Meer, Kendrik Meer, Michael Bryant, Mackenzie Bryant, Henry Bryant, Payton Bryant, and Paisley Bryant; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are Ruth's brothers, Bobby Jo, Tommy, Johnny, Robert, Gary, Anthony, Jeff, and Ronnie "Doc" Trammell, Paul Carver and Joe Carver; and sisters, Kathy Trammell, Vickie Trammell, Annette Trammell Hughes, and Mary Trammell Hubble. 

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home. Burial to follow in the Upper Marsh Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday from 1:00 pm until service time at the funeral home.
