Sally Angeline Baird

Sally Angeline Baird age 83 years of Whitley City, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at her home.

She was born March 30, 1938 in McCreary County, Kentucky to the late Walter Baird and Frona (Ramsey) Baird. In addition to her parents, Sally is preceded in death by her brothers, Emery, Elmer, Estil, Leamon, and Infant brother Freeman Baird; and sisters, Elizabeth Kangas, Sue Carol Baird, Betty Anderson, Mary Magdalene Baltimore Knieriem, Edlene King, and Nina Stephens.

Survivors include her sister Marie Ross and husband Charles of Strunk, Kentucky; special nephews Ronald and wife Michelle King, Jackie and wife Donna Stephens; great nieces and nephews Ronnie King, Caitlin King, Coby Stephens, Keisha Sexton; and host of other nieces and nephews whom she loved. Also, very special friends Rose Braden, Kathy Strunk, Wilma Matthews, and Betty Daugherty.

Sally was a long time Member of the Hayes Creek Church of God (since 1954). She also attended church at the Marshes Siding Church of God and Hill Top Baptist Church. Her whole life was dedicated to her family; helping each and everyone she could. She loved cooking, her church, singing and sitting on the back porch. She loved everyone and loved being a caretaker.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. David Troxell officiating. Burial will follow in the Hayes Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday after 12:00 noon until service time.
