Shirley Lynn Lewis

Shirley Lynn (Dobbs) Lewis age 62 of Stearns, Kentucky passed from this life on Thursday, August 27, 2026 at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. 

She was born on December 29, 1963 in Whitley City, Kentucky to the late Austin Dobbs and Kathleen (Dobbs) Dobbs. In addition to her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Henderson Carl Lewis. 

Surviving family include her sons, Tyrel Lewis and Robert Lewis (and Beverly Norris); a sister, Janice Vann (and Paul); a brother, Gene Dobbs; and grandchildren, Owen and Jase Norris and Iris Lewis. 

Shirley was an avid reader who also enjoyed gardening and sewing. When able to work, she worked many years in various factories as a seamstress and even in the sawmill. At home she was a true example of a homemaker, caring for her husband and sons, whom she loved very dearly. Shirley also liked listening to music, especially Bob Seger. Shirley was a very smart, funny, caring woman who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. 

Cremation was chosen. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026 at 12:00 noon in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Hilton Duncan officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Corder Cemetery along with her husband.
