Shirley Rochelle Meadors

Shirley Rochelle Meadors, age 77, of Williamsburg, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday August 9, 2016 at the Baptist Health Corbin in Corbin, Kentucky.

She was born March 17, 1939, in McCreary County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late James Wiley ‘J.W.’  and Nancy (Neal) Anderson.  Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers: Huston, Ottis, Jeff, Hurstle, Boyd, Gary, Arless and Edward Anderson, and sisters: Geneva Vanover, Betty Kidd, and Bernice Anderson.

Surviving family include her husband, Kenneth Meadors, two daughters: Kathy Lynn Dobson (and Brian Scott, Sr.), of Williamsburg, and Kimberly Jo Turner (and Robert) of Chesterfield, Virginia, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Shirley had been a department manager at Wal-Mart and was a member of the Pleasant Run Church.  She enjoyed crafts, puzzles, taking care of family and working at the church.

Funeral services will be Saturday August 13, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at the Pleasant Run Church with burial to follow at the Pleasant Run Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00pm until 9:00pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Meadors will be at the church from 1:00pm until funeral time at the church.
