Shirley Marlene Ross

Shirley Marlene Ross age 65 of Avon, Indiana passed from this life on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at the St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. 

She was born on July 21, 1960 in Indianapolis to the late Eddie Gramlin and Lilly (Evans) Gramlin. 

Surviving family include her husband, Randy Ross; their children, Nathan Ross and Tabitha Ross; a brother, Kenny Gramlin; and childhood friend, Carol Marlott.

Shirley was a member of the Life Tabernacle Church of Indianapolis. After graduating high school, Shirley became a CNA where she began working as a caregiver and providing comfort for family families in need. Lastly she had been employed as “A Visiting Angel” for well over 10 years. Her true passion was helping others and seeing the best in everyone, her kind heart will be cherished, forever.

The family would like to give special thanks and recognition to the Life Tabernacle Church and Rev. Ron Bowen for their many prayers, love, and support during this journey. 

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Ernest Mann officiating. Burial to follow in the Lower Hickory Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday after 11:00 am until service time.
