Steve Wendell Dixon, age 64 years, of Pine Knot, Kentucky died on March 30, 2026 at his home.

He was born in Jellico, Tennessee on February 21, 1962 the son of the late Steven Jr. and Betty Jean (Slaven) Dixon. He was assistant manager for Kidd’s Heating Oil and a Christian. He enjoyed riding back roads, working on old cars, doing carpentry, but his favorite thing was hunting Ginseng.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Shannon Dixon.

Survivors include his wife, Tammy (Madison) Dixon of Pine Knot, Kentucky; sons, Stephen Dixon of Strunk, Kentucky, Matthew Dixon of Parkers Lake, Kentucky, Ryan Slaven of Crossville, Tennessee, and Jamie Slaven (Kassity) of Crossville, Tennessee; daughters, Tiara Perry (Dakota) of Pine Knot, Kentucky and Shadara Dixon of Pine Knot, Kentucky; brothers, Anthony Slaven (Sheila) of Strunk, Kentucky and Bill Dixon (Theresa) of Pine Knot, Kentucky; sister, Deborah Buell of Loyall, Kentucky; and 16 grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held 1pm Saturday, April 4, 2026 at the Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Boyd Rowe officiating. The family will receive friends after 11am Saturday at the Funeral Home. In keeping with his wish’s cremation was chosen.

Pine Knot Funeral Home is assisting the family.
