Sylvia Marie Stephens

Sylvia Marie Stephens age 72 of Pine Knot, Kentucky passed from this life on Friday, December 29, 2023 at the Big South Fork Medical Center in Oneida, Tennessee.

She was born on October 7, 1951 in Pine Knot, Kentucky to the late Raymond Rowe and Goldie (Stanfill) Rowe. In addition to her parents, Sylvia is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Stephens; a great-granddaughter, Addison Privett; a brother, Ronald Rowe; and a sister, Diane Long.

Surviving family include her daughter, Reci Shook (and Scott) of Monticello; a son, Timothy "Tim" Stephens of Pine Knot; brothers, Boyd Rowe and Leroy Rowe; sisters, Hazel Duvall and Eleanor Malkowski; grandchildren, Tiffany Parriman, Jeremy Taylor, and Lilly Stephens; and great-grandchildren, Dylan Fultz and Jack Parriman.

Sylvia was a homemaker and a caregiver by heart. She devoted her love and home to foster children for over 20 years. She enjoyed crocheting, playing games, especially candy crush, and Facebooking. In past time, she loved to go fishing. She will be deeply missed.

Per her request, Sylvia will be cremated. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for visitation after 12:00 noon.
