THEODORE LAY

Theodore Lay, age 75, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2013, at his home in Pine Knot.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. Stanley Taylor officiating. Special music will be performed by the Judy Neal Redden Family and Danny Neal. He will be laid to rest at the Neal Cemetery in Strunk. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11:00 until funeral service time.

Born April 25, 1937, in Newcomb, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Mike Lay and Clora Lee Creekmore Neal. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by a half brother Raymond Neal, and step-brothers Leamon and Oscar Neal and step-sister Sadie Ryan.

Surviving family include three sisters; Nola Mae Wortham of Cincinnati, Ohio, Essie King of Maryville, Tennessee and Gladys Bolton of Jellico, Tennessee, half brothers; George Neal (and Patricia) of Middletown, Indiana, Luther Neal (and Lola) of Middleton, Tennessee and James Neal (and Nina) of Pine Knot, and a half sister Mary Neal Meadows, of Richmond, Kentucky.
