Tyler Dewayne Lawson

Tyler Dewayne Lawson age 22 of Whitley City, Kentucky passed from this life on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at the Big South Fork Medical Center in Oneida, Tennessee. 

He was born on July 23, 2003 in Somerset, Kentucky to Trevor Lawson and Tracy Tucker. He was a graduated of the McCreary Central High School and had set out to join the United States Marine Corp. Tyler enjoyed gaming, collecting guns, and spending time with his family. 

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Tiger & Kim Watters and Noble Tucker; a great-grandfather, Harold Lawson; and nieces, Kylee and Aubrey.

Surviving family include his parents, Tracy & Troy Goodman and Trevor Lawson; grandparents, Charlene Tucker and Doyle Lawson; a great-grandmother, Maxine Lawson; uncles, Shane Tucker and Cody Vanover; a sister, Tiffany Daugherty Stephens; brothers, Noah, McKinley, and Coleman Chitwood; nieces and nephews, Chaylenn, Deslyne, Asher, Brynlee, and Canaan; and many special friends, including AZ Strunk. 

Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with words of comforts by Bro. Tim Corder. Burial to follow in the Jess-Privett Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. 

Serving as pallbearers are Logan Williams, Logan Smith, Josh Ruley, Lance Cagle, Harlan Shepherd, and Waylon Lyons.
