VERLIN A. LITTON

Mr. Verlin A. Litton, age 70, of Pine Knot, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2007, at the Scott County Hospital in Oneida, Tennessee.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 7, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. William Kilby officiating. Burial will be in the Hayes Creek Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Friday evening from 6 a€" 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Born on August 23, 1936, he was the son of the late Edd and Elsie Anderson Litton. He is also preceded in death by his first wife Evelyn Bryant Litton and a sister Bernice Lovejoy.

Surviving is his wife Flossie Bryant Litton of Pine Knot whom he married May 23, 1993, two daughters Sandra Litton Paulson of Pine Knot, and Ronda Litton of Knoxville, two step sons Jeff (and Liza) Stephens and William (and Debbie) Stephens all of Pine Knot. Brothers are Arlis (and Bonnie) Litton and Randell (and Bernice) Litton all of Pine Knot, sisters Nina (and James) Neal of Pine Knot and Thelma (and Larry) Boyd of Knoxville. Verlin was blessed with three grandchildren, Crystal Litton (and Charles Hamilton) Sarah Litton and Lucas Paulson, two great grandchildren Alyssa and Melodie Hamilton and five step grandchildren Thomas, Emiline, William Brock, Cody and Sabrina Stephens.

Verlin was a service station owner and operator for many years. He also spent a lot of time farming and logging. His main priority in life was taking care of his family whom he loved immeasurably.
