WILLIAM "BUD" TAYLOR

Mr. William Loyd "Bud" Taylor, age 68, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2007, at his home in Stearns.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 13, 2007, at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Randall Meadows and Bro. Dillard Bryant officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 a€" 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at the Sherd Dobbs Cemetery in Stearns.

Bud worked at Outdoor Venture Corporation for over 16 years and before that he was a painter for Imperial Cabinet Company in Muncie, Indiana. He was a member of the New Liberty Baptist Church.

Born on February 26, 1939, in McCreary County, he was the son of the late Alvin and Leatha Perry Taylor. He is also preceded in death by a son William Timothy Taylor, a brother Boyd Taylor, and five sisters Sarah and Elsie Vanover, Irene Taylor Phillips, Lois Mounce and Osie Taylor.

Surviving family include his wife Shirley Jean Watson Taylor of Stearns, whom he married October 7, 1961, and five children: Loyd Dwayne (and Charolette) Taylor of Stearns, Brian Scott (and Reci) Taylor of Pine Knot, William Robert Taylor of Stearns, Pamela "Nina" (and Allen) Southern of Daphne, Alabama, and Wendy Michelle (and Jeff) Meadows of Somerset. He has one surviving brother Floyd Taylor of Muncie, Indiana, and one surviving sister Margaret Murphy of Marshes Siding. Bud and Jean were blessed with ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren. His family and grandchildren were the most important of all things in his life.
