Wilma Jean Wood

Wilma Jean Wood age 69 of Whitley City, Kentucky passed from this life on Monday, December 2, 2019 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital surrounded by her family. 

She was born on March 22, 1950 to Harrison James Phillips and Sara Mae (Kidd) Phillips. Wilma enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. 

Preceding her in death are her parents; a brother, Lawrence Phillips; and a granddaughter, Desirae Watson. 

Wilma leaves behind a son, Verlion Ray Angel (and girlfriend, Lana Perry) of Whitley City, Kentucky; a daughter, Lisa Watson (husband, Larry) of Oneida, Tennessee; a brother, Daniel Phillips of Stearns, Kentucky; grandchildren, Bramanda Watson (husband, Tyler) of Oak Ridge, Tennessee and Devin Wilson of Oneida, Tennessee. 

Wilma will be missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace. We love you. 

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home. Burial to follow in the Phillips Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday after 12:00 noon until service time at the funeral home.
