"Bill" Willard Crabtree

Willard "Bill" Crabtree age 80 of Pine Knot, Kentucky, passed from this life on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at the Signature Health of McCreary.

He was born May 9, 1940 in Mud Cut, Kentucky to the late Crit Crabtree and Mary Bell (Kidd) Crabtree. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Margie "Faye" (Richmond) Crabtree; an infant daughter, Pamela Dawn Crabtree; an infant granddaughter, Lillyann; brothers, Ernest, Chester, Walter, and Frank Crabtree; 2 infant brothers; and sisters, Dory Crabtree, Nory West, and Irene Burkes.

Surviving family include his sons, Kenneth Lee Crabtree, Michael Willard Crabtree, Jeffery Lawrence Crabtree of Pine Knot, and Mark Wayne Crabtree (wife, Jennifer) of Parkers Lake, Kentucky; sisters, Maxine Crabtree of Oneida, Tennessee, Lorene Phillips of Stearns, Kentucky; grandchildren, Gidget, Cody, Kendra, Courtney, Chelsea, Stephanie, Shelby, Marcus, Heaven, Justin, Kyle, Kaitlyn, and Kacie; and 26 great-grandchildren and one on the way. 

Bill was a heavy equipment operator for 40+ years, first in the coal strips and later in logging. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially riding his four-wheeler. Bill loved spending time with his friends and family. He always enjoyed playing the guitar and singing for them. He will be sadly missed  by all who knew and loved him. 

Funeral service will be held from graveside on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 12:00 noon at the Crabtree Family Cemetery. 

Pine Knot Funeral Home is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
